Whether it’s a short week during Spring Break or 2 months in the Summer, our camps are well known in the country as the place to be!
We at The Hive recognize that time away from school can so often turn into a never-ending haze of scrolling, watching, lazing, and a whole bunch of “I’m bored!” Which is why we emphasize the fact that our camps are ‘Screen-Free’. 5 hours a day of communication, collaboration, creativity, confidence, and a promise that you won’t hear one child say, “Can I have my iPad?”

The Hive’s Public Speaking & Drama Camps are one of the most fulfilling short-form workshops your child could be a part of.
With a week of exploration of every core drama skill there is, from vocal and body skills to understanding characterization and storytelling foundations, interweaved with directing, blocking, and performing a full-fledged production, this is the most essential 30 hours your child could spend.
An elaborate set, gorgeous costumes, under almost-blinding lights, in a real theatre, your once quiet and unconfident child will tell you a story that will leave you speechless. The best crash course in theatre your child could ask for.

In a world where kids are endlessly consuming content, our kids are creating it. At The Hive’s Podcasting Camp ‘On Air With Malavika’, kids aged 10 and above learn to ask difficult questions, debate, discuss, research, articulate their thoughts, collate those answers, and finally, put it together in a podcast they record and upload on Spotify.
Moulded to mirror our Media Lab program, this course not only teaches your child the ins and outs of efficient and effective communication but also equips them with all the skills they need to ace every presentation, school project, debate competition, and any other speaking opportunity your child might encounter.

Malavika Varadan’s TED Talk ‘7 Ways to Make a Conversation With Anyone’ was first uploaded in 2014. 9 years later, it has 26 million views. The Hive’s ‘Speak Up’ camp not only teaches you the skill of being able to deep dive into 1 big idea in an engaging way, but also is the first step to creating the impressive portfolio your child deserves.
This is a camp focused on presenting on stage for the camera, shaped in a TEDX-format training. 1 transformational insight - shared with the world in a clear, emotional, impactful, personal way. This program ends with a “show night” where friends and family are invited to a live on-stage event, where the speech is filmed to be uploaded as part of our Speak Up series on YouTube

Think your kids have what it takes to be entrepreneurs? The Hive’s ‘Start Up’ Camp is a program that teaches them to pitch like a pro. One of the biggest challenges we as adults face is the difficulty in selling ourselves, a skill essential in today’s corporate climate. We, at The Hive, thought, why wait? A camp that trains children to understand what a market needs, build a product or service, learn to market it, design it, test it, and finally pitch it to a panel of real business people!
