TERMS & CONDITIONS


These Terms and Conditions apply to all students and parents/guardians at The Hive. By enrolling in our classes, you agree to abide by them.

Statement of Consent - I agree to my child or me attending classes and performances where photos and videos may be taken. Should I not agree to this, I will withdraw myself or my child from those sessions with no financial claim against The Hive for sessions missed.

Emergency - In the event of an emergency situation needing medical attention, I grant permission for any and all medical attention to be administered in the event of an accidental injury or illness. The permission includes but is not limited to the administration of first aid, the use of an ambulance, and the administration of anaesthesia and/or surgery under the recommendation of qualified medical personnel.

Allergies and Dietary Restrictions - We want to ensure the safety and well-being of every child. Please inform us of any serious allergies or dietary restrictions your child may have, especially regarding snacks provided or shared during show days or breaks.

Payment - Full upfront payment is required to secure your child's seat. Failure to complete full payment at the time of registration will result in a late fee of AED 70. Payment is NON-REFUNDABLE. (Unless notified by The Hive).

Late Payment Fee - You are subject to a late payment fee if payment is not made on time. Full payment needs to be made within the first week of each term.

PARTIAL PAYMENT (Not applicable for camp kids)- The booking fee is NON-REFUNDABLE. The minimum booking fee is 500 AED to block your child's seat.

Missed Class (Not applicable for camp kids) - Classes missed cannot be reimbursed nor made up unless otherwise notified by The Hive. Or in case of an emergency. Missed classes will not be transferable to the next term, etc. Once a class is missed, the hive is not liable to give a makeup class in case of a valid emergency case.

Limited Seats - We closed batches at 12 kids per batch (regular term) & 15 kids per batch (camp), once the seat is confirmed, strictly no refunds for cancellation of continuation during a term.

Script - Each child is given a very valuable and important role in a Hive production. We do not encourage parents to count lines or scenes in a play, as it takes away from the craft. No alterations will be made to the script unless notified by the teacher.

Costumes - We put a lot of care into designing costumes that fit the overall vision of the production. Please trust our creative choices, and if you are requesting specific colours or styles for your child's costume, know that we may or may not be able to accommodate it.

Scheduling and Availability - Please note that some activities, like technical rehearsals, Trinity exams, internal assessments, or drama solos, might need to be scheduled on weekdays because of venue availability and other reasons. We know this might be a bit inconvenient and will do our best to keep disruptions to a minimum. By enrolling, you're okay with this potential scheduling arrangement.

Communication - Hive uses the WhatsApp application for keeping parents updated with important class/schedule information, and it is my responsibility to stay up-to-date. Hive will be communicating with you on the primary mobile number listed above; please notify the team if you would like a second mobile number to be added to the WhatsApp groups.
